LOL! Little storylines like that is why I love Emmerdale so much these days. Even when the drama is really heavy (like you have to come from 2003 and 2004) it's excellent and brings tears to your eyes, while at the same time having the natural comedy alongside which Corrie used to do so well. The show made the cover of next week's TV Times for a change. Nicola still gets on my nerves. The actress has braces at the moment and I'll be glad when they're off. But the character is just the most selfish one in soap probably. I blame Rodney for always letting her have her own way.

Yes Patsy Rodney spoils her rotten doesnt he? Just wondered if Nicola was ever nominated as Best Bitch?

I think she has been. I don't blame her though for what she did at her wedding to Carlos after finding out about him and Bernice.
What do you think of Ray Mullen? He got a mention in tonight's here. Oh boy. I won't spoil it but it's been a great week so far here and I can't wait for tomorrow's. It's been a long time since I felt that way about Corrie sadly. I didn't like Ray. Seemed a bit of a control freak but it a more interesting way than Charlie in Corrie.

We know Caroline, we know. We are still in 2002, and with only 4 episodes a week against your 6, we shall fall further and further behind. I was very pleased today to see Sid give the brush off to Nicola. She had been all over him constantly, and it was so obvious he didnt want a relationship with her, but as usual she thinks she is irresistable. I was puzzled by Diane and Mac, her thinking she was going for a romatic dinner for two, but really a ploy to get her away for a short while so they could give her a surprise birthday party. They then agree that the romantic dinner is a much better idea than returning to the Woolpack, and then we see them in the street eating fish and chips out of paper. To each his own I guess, and I always enjoyed my paper wrapped fish supper, but no way would I call it a romantic dinner for two, when I was dressed to the nines for my birthday. Diane leaves tomorrow with the baby and Tricia to join Bernice on the cruise ship, so we will have to wait and see if anything more developes between her and the builder.

Not much happened today except for Sid speaking out to get rid of Nicola - he sure had to spell it out for her. I suppose Rodney treating her like a princess has her thinking she's irrisistable. She is about as self-absorbed as Karen in Corrie. I too was surprised by the fish and chips on the street rather than going to a nice restaurant. I always had a soft spot for Andy because of his miserable father and the way he loved the farm and his adopted dad. Lately tho, he's been really dumb, skipping exams, getting Katy pregnant, etc. I think I'm starting to get into this show more lately the writing seems improved or maybe it's becoming a habit.

geenee, Andy gets more dumb as the years go on. LOL! It's no wonder though Jack lets him get away with everything since he's the son Robert isn't when it comes to loving the land and farming. But then Jack was like Robert in his younger days so pots and kettles spring to mind. LOL!
Yes, Caroline. It's a shame they're all so behind. They need extra eps like with Corrie occasionally. But we try not to tell them what's going to happen.

Well lots of people in trouble today. Letitia in trouble with Charity who is threatening to sack her mother if she does not pay her debt. She will be in more trouble with her mother if mom finds out she spent the weekend with Cain. Scott in trouble with the bad guys for not having their car ready, and Mark and Len finding out about the stolen car fixing. Nice bit between Zack and Paddy, with Zack trying to find out if Paddy had trouble "down below" because they were going to foster a child. Seemed a fast 1/2 hr today. Hey, just noticed my extra star, and am now a sci-fi lord. Thanks guys.

Hey yes. You've done over 100 posts! Well done, Christina! ;D
Things are really going to get going once Emily and Paddy start fostering. It was a bit of a cliched storyline but it was interesting. I like Zak. He's one of my favourite characters. It's a shame the actor has a drink problem in real life but you'd never know it by watching him on screen.

Sorry to hear about the actor who plays Zak having drink problem. He is one of my favourites too, I do hope he is still on the show. It must seem funny to you hearing us Canucks talk about storylines so far in the past for you. I wish the CBC would give us more Emmerdale to help fill in while the labour trouble continues, but I doubt it. It has always seemed silly not to have it on Fridays, especially when we are falling further behind every week.

I also like Zak. It would be nice if CBC had it on every day. I always wonder why they don't. It was the same with Train 48 and Riverdale which could have become popular if given more of a chance. At least Emmerdale runs all year round. The plot seems to be thickening with Mark and Len finding out about the stolen car business. I hope Mark doesn't end up back in jail over this. One thing about this rerun season, I seem to be playing with the computer more and listening to radio for a change. Once the Ex starts, tho, it won't be long until Sept and the new TV season.

Yes, Zak is still around. Can't have the Dingles without him. They've been very good to him giving him time off to sort out his problems. He was off almost a year in 2003 I think it was when they sent Zak abroad. It was said at the time he was just taking a year off but later it came out about his drink problem. It is a shame you have it on only 4 days. What do they show the other day? Patsy

Today they showed something called Freedom: The underground railroad, or words to that effect. I didnt watch it, but believe it is not the first time it has been on. Their usual excuse is that they have to show a certain amount of Canadian content, but they are always showing ancient American movies, so dont quite believe them.

Oh it's just ridiculous. Couldn't they show the Canadian content instead of some of those American movies?

Well not many laughs on Emmerdale today, mostly doom and gloom. Mark and Len have left Scotts garage, now they know stolen cars are involved. Scott wants to quit, but had had his life threatened by the bad guys. Charity giving Letitita a hard time (well earned). Good acting all around as usual.
