Anyone know which episodes will be on this 2nd DVD. Im guessing the fire and Meg's farewell will feature.
Ive not ordered it yet as ive got the Corrie 1970s DVD first!

No idea. Don't care as long as there's some out. I'll settle for any. Crossroads had been criminally ignored b the establishment.

Never! Crossroads often beat Corrie in the ratings during the 70s. Noele Gordon was the only person to win the TV Times Award a record 8 times. It was still better in the 80s up until 1985 when Philip Bowman went all Dynasty and alienated a lot of fans. Might not have been so bad had Nolly not died and returned after buying David and Barbara out. No stupid storylines then like Joanna Freeman and the cult.

Perhaps if you'd been lucky enough to grow up with both you'd think Crossroads was better. You were born at the wrong time. Tell your parents off. LOL!

Patsy Perhaps, but perhaps id have preferred Corrie. Ive seen classic episodes of them both, and ive seen all of Corrie from 1976-present so ive seen as much as you have of Corrie but hardly any of Crossroads, so im bound to prefer Corrie. LOL! I will.

Well that is a problem. I watched them for years then again on UK Gold (though it was great seeing David's shooting and Nolly singing at Christmas again which they never showed).
Incidentally, Sandys doctor went on to be Stephen Fellowes who Kath married and the police inspector investigating David's shooting went on to play Darby the porter from 1985 to the end.

Patsy I saw a clip of Nolly singing, but it was great to see it again. It was also great to see eps like the wedding and David's shooting as id not seen them before.

Nolly had a WONDERFUL voice. I have the Crossroads wedding album I'm that sad. LOL! Nolly sings on that. It jumps a couple of times though on side 1 during the vows. But side 2 is a singalong medley of songs.
I am looking forward to seeing Meg's Farewell on one of these DVD complete. Both version I have are missing bits. The original release had a couple of scenes chopped out and another I was sent I think (hope!) only had Mavis and Iris missing before Jill arrived in Southampton.

They were good. Poor Meg. But at least she got a great send off! And Crossroads were first again with the QE2. You see, all these firsts is what makes it better. ;D

Ive heard it mentioned before that Crossroads did a lot of things first, first test tube baby, first character in a wheel chair etc. But Crossroads is generally remembered for wooden acting and wobbly sets.
