Glad you made it Suzanne. I was just back to the old site, and oh my goodness the spammers are worse than ever. We will all get used to this, and be glad every comment is about Corrie etc., and not trying to sell nasty things. Seems a long wait till the next Corrie, but I still have Emmerdale Mon-Thur, and I have got hooked on Londons Burning now, when will the work get done?

Christina: Glad to hear I'm not the only one hooked on London's Burning, great show. You watch the classic Corrie as well don't you, gives me something to watch when regular show is not on.

It,s really too bad that those spammers don,t get the hint and move on to other territory. It seems to come in waves as one day it isn,t that bad and then the next it is a whole page of it that you have to scroll through. I have found a lot of good shows on BBC-Canada. Would like to watch the older Corries on Country Canada, but just can,t defend paying the extra for that one show. Do you that watch the Classic Corrie, find that it is better than what we are getting now? Sometimes I just feel that the current Corrie has almost run out of steam and it is just a rehash of old plots. Maybe it is just me, but I used to never miss an episode and would even read ahead, but now it doesn,t bother me as much if I forget or have something else to do and I haven,t read ahead for almost a year now.

Right this minute in another window I'm deleting all that flipping spam. I nearly had heart failure when I saw how 'busy' the buggers had been today. Then I'll reply to Beryl.
Ooh London's Burning. I used to watch that. I'll start a thread in Classic Dramas.

Where do you get London's Burning - BBC Canada, I suppose - which I don't get. I'm waiting impatiently for the next Corrie (who knows when - Tues and Wed. again probably). Also hoping Showcase will bring some new Bad Girls and The Bill shows, also MI5. As for Patrick - to each his/her own! I've said it before and I'll say it again - we need some new male blood on the show, so we do. They haven't really replaced Jim, Mark, Curly, Des. We get little boys like Warren and Jamie and the ever-scruffy Charlie, obnoxious Tommy, etc. Granted, they gave us Danny Baldwin, but we don't see much of him lately. I'm glad to see that most of us from the other site have arrived here so maybe we won't miss it when it goes. Is there a way to quickly get to the most recent post?

Hello again Geenee, Londons Burning is on Country Canada, along with Classic Corrie. You notice on this board it says pages 1 -5 {or wherever its got to) you can just click on the last page you were reading, and dont have to go through all the pages you have already read. Hope this helps, I am still learning myself, so there may be more experienced posters who can help. Enjoy your weekend

geenee: You are so right about needing some new males on the show. The new Baldwin boys hardly work for me as they look so young and the one I can hardly figure out what he is saying. I would love to see the return of Jim McD. All the new men look so scruffy and that is hardly my type. I don,t think there is a Corrie on Monday, but then we get two on Tuesday night, so a long wait for us. Take heart everyone in Ontario, it looks like cooler weather is coming.

Also, when you click on the main index for whatever section, anything with new posts has a 'new' icon in blue. If you click on that it take you to the latest post (well, should do. LOL!).
Jim McD does return all too briefly (which you'll get next year). They keep adding to his sentence. Grrr!

Thanks for your suggestions everyone. Now I'd like to know what Exalt and Smite do. It seemed that the older shows were more original and now they are rehashing old plots. So many people go mad and die in accidents now, even on Emmerdale we have Zoe cracking up here. What I always enjoyed about Corrie was the fresh ideas and not being able to guess what will happen. The Todd/gay story was new but when all else fails, have someone go crazy which I guess we will soon get with Maya and Karen. It seemed like a fresh idea to have Martin become a nurse but now they have ruined his character with the Katy affair andd I've read that he is leaving. Oh, the frustration - more hot weather and no Corrie til Tues. You Brits are lucky; is it 5 a week you get now?

Exalt means you give someone a Karma if you like their post or something. You Smite them (take away a Karma) if you think what they've written is offensive or the poster is just annoying.
Yes, 5 times a week unless they want to boost rating for some 'celebrity' drivel then it's more. But it's really too much. Maybe because of the papers and magazines inundated with soaps too, plus trailers (endless trailers if it's something like Killer Corrie, which was at least interesting, Mad Maya Monday when we had 3 and only the 3rd was any good, or Killer Katy which was rubbish. I see what you man about people going crazy. They replace a type with the same type. EastEnders is worse for that with all these gangsters. This isn't the 1960s East End of London. I'm glad I don't watch it. Emmerdale is the only one really not to go completely over the top and has a good balance of character ages, humour and drama. I hated Shadrach Dingle when he came in permanantly but now I absolutely love him. If he was a Corrie character he'd have become boring by now. Zoe in Emmerdale was very good and well handled. I enjoyed that a lot. How far as Zoe gone mad there?

Jim also makes a brief appearance around Christmas time, he was talking on the phone to Steve just after Karen left him.
