I love that show too! I still watch the repeats. Clive Swift was at the British Isles show two years ago I think.

This show is one of my all time favourites. Hyacinth reminds me so much of my own mother it is unreal. The whole idea of trying to reach the upper echelons of middle class life. I think this show is a timeless classic. The repeats I do watch, when conditions are permitting. I think my favourite characters are the men, Onslow and Richard. They make me laugh for more than the women, as they exemplify the stereotypical oppressed and tired husband. LOL! ;D

I liked Onslow and Richard as well. And her next door neighbour who used to come in and spill Coffee everywhere!

We always refer to my mum as "Hyacinth" - not so much for the social climbing but for the high standards and domination.
I love the show...one that sticks in my mind is when they went on a cruise and Onslow and Daisy turned up. A classic!

I liked Onslow and Richard as well. And her next door neighbour who used to come in and spill Coffee everywhere! Elizabeth and Emmot. Yes, as I recall correctly Hyacinth always had a bit of a "thing" for Emmot and he hated her really. lol

I love Keeping up Appearances too. I always thought that Daisy, Onslow and Rose should have got their own series, they were hilarious. Richard was funny too, he just wanted a quiet life!

Yeah, Daisy, Rose and Onslow were great - sadly the 2nd actress who played Rose is no longer with us, the first actress was of course the same one who plays Edna in Emmerdale!

I still can't believe that Edna and the first Rose are the same person! Shirley Stelfox is a great actress, playing 2 completely opposite roles. Elizabeth was good too - I'm sure I would have been the same if I'd had to drink coffee with Hyacinth!
